Two councilors` supporters clashed inside the Barishal City election center.
Councilor candidates Rajib and Manna who came to vote at Gorasthan Road Madrasa Center of Ward No. 21 of Barihsal were seeking votes from the voters inside and outside the polling station. At one stage, the supporters of both sides got into arguments and fights.
After the scuffle inside the polling station, at one point APBN forces moved the supporters of both councils away from the front of the center, and law enforcement personnel escorted the supporters of both sides out of the center to avoid chaos and untoward incident.
APBN official told the media, "We rushed here after getting the news of the commotion, now the situation is normal, both parties have been removed from the front of the center, and we are taking immediate action when we get any news of the unpleasant incident."
Md Shahriar Secretary (Rajib) and Sheikh Syed Ahmed (Manna) are contesting for the post of Councilors.
